TrendAI Vision One (formerly Trend Vision One)

In March 2026 Trend Micro renamed its enterprise business TrendAI, so Trend Vision One is now TrendAI Vision One. Existing contracts carry on; here is what the platform covers and how it is bought.

In short: TrendAI Vision One, formerly Trend Vision One, is Trend Micro's unified security platform. One console covers endpoint, email and collaboration, cloud and container, network, identity and data security, with cyber risk exposure management and XDR, agentic SIEM and SOAR on top. It is paid for with TrendAI Flex credits; Worry-Free continues for smaller businesses.

The TrendAI rename

On 23 March 2026 Trend Micro announced that its enterprise security business now operates as TrendAI. The platform previously called Trend Micro Vision One and then Trend Vision One is now TrendAI Vision One. A month earlier, in February 2026, the credit-based licensing model was renamed TrendAI Flex. The listed company is still Trend Micro Incorporated, existing contracts carry on, and the vendor's enterprise material has moved to the TrendAI brand.

For buyers this is mostly a naming change: renewals, agents and consoles carry on. Expect to see both names on quotes and documentation for a while. It is still worth checking three things at your next renewal: that the capabilities you rely on map to the current Vision One names, that your credit allocation matches what you actually use, and whether older standalone products you run, such as Apex One or Cloud One services, should move into the Vision One console.

What the platform covers

TrendAI Vision One brings these areas into one console, sharing telemetry so incidents can be correlated across them:

How TrendAI Flex credits work

Rather than buying each product separately, you buy a pool of credits for a fixed term and allocate them to the capabilities you switch on, such as endpoint protection per device, email protection per user or cloud risk management by number of resources. Unused credits can be moved to other Vision One capabilities during the term, so you can start with endpoint and email and add exposure management or XDR sensors later without a new contract. Usage is tracked daily and drawn down from your balance, credits expire at the end of the term, and older Vision One licences convert to credits. Endpoint protection, for example, consumes credits at different rates for its Core, Essentials and Pro levels, with server features such as intrusion prevention and integrity monitoring in Pro.

The model rewards planning: estimate the credits each capability will consume before committing, and review usage during the term. Licensing detail is on softwarelicensing.uk/trend-micro; pricing is always "ask us for a quote".

Worry-Free for smaller businesses

Alongside Vision One, Trend Micro continues the Worry-Free range for smaller organisations. It is a simpler cloud-managed suite with four options:

  • Worry-Free Services: cloud-managed endpoint and mobile protection with a lightweight agent, including data loss prevention, disk encryption, device and application control and web filtering.
  • Worry-Free Services Advanced: adds email and collaboration security for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Dropbox and Box.
  • Worry-Free XDR: correlates email and endpoint events, with attack timelines and automated response.
  • Worry-Free with Co-Managed XDR: Worry-Free XDR plus 24/7 managed detection and response from Trend's threat experts, available through IT providers.

Worry-Free customers can update their console to the Vision One platform for small business, which adds cyber risk exposure management. On supported devices the console can then replace the Worry-Free agent with the Vision One Endpoint Security agent automatically, although the update cannot be reversed and some policy settings need reviewing afterwards.

Who it suits

TrendAI Vision One fits mid-size and larger organisations that want to consolidate endpoint, email, cloud and exposure management into one platform and like the flexibility of credits. It is also a natural step for existing Trend Micro Apex One, Cloud One or Worry-Free customers. Smaller organisations on Microsoft 365 should compare it with the Defender tools they already license; our CrowdStrike vs SentinelOne vs Defender comparison shows how the main alternatives differ.

How we help

We help existing Trend Micro customers understand what the rename means for renewals, estimate credit consumption, plan which capabilities to switch on first and configure policies across endpoint, email and cloud. For new customers we run a proof of value against your current tools.

How Forever Systems helps with cloud security

We are an independent UK IT and cyber security provider. We supply and support a wide range of security platforms, so we recommend what fits your organisation rather than one vendor's answer to everything.

  • Assess first: we review what you already own, especially your Microsoft 365 licences, before suggesting anything new
  • Vendor-aware advice across secure access, email, identity, data protection, endpoint, MDR, cloud infrastructure, browser, AI and backup, including Cisco Secure, Check Point Harmony and Sophos
  • Deployment and migration from a UK team, from tenant hardening to replacing a VPN or an endpoint product
  • Ongoing support: policy tuning, alert handling, renewals and regular reviews
  • People and certification too: security awareness training and Cyber Essentials

We work with businesses, schools, charities and public sector organisations.

Frequently asked questions

Is Trend Vision One now called TrendAI Vision One?

Yes. Trend Micro announced on 23 March 2026 that its enterprise business now operates as TrendAI, and the platform is now called TrendAI Vision One. Existing contracts carry on, so expect both names on quotes and documentation for a while.

What is TrendAI Flex?

TrendAI Flex is the credit-based licensing model for TrendAI Vision One, renamed from Trend Vision One credits in February 2026. You buy credits for a term, allocate them to the capabilities you use, such as endpoint, email, XDR or cloud risk management, and can move unused credits to other capabilities during the term. Credits expire at the end of the term.

Is Worry-Free being discontinued?

No. Trend Micro still offers Worry-Free Services, Worry-Free Services Advanced, Worry-Free XDR and Worry-Free with Co-Managed XDR for smaller businesses. Customers who need more capability can update to the Vision One platform, and supported Worry-Free agents can be replaced with the Vision One agent from the console.

What does TrendAI Vision One include?

It covers endpoint, email and collaboration, cloud and container, network, identity, data and AI security, plus cyber risk exposure management and security operations (XDR, agentic SIEM and SOAR), all in one console.
