In short
Cloud security services protect the identities, email, devices, SaaS data and cloud infrastructure an organisation relies on. Forever Systems reviews what you already own, closes the gaps that matter most, and recommends extra products only where they reduce real risk, across Microsoft, Check Point and other specialist platforms.

What cloud security means for your organisation
When you move to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, other SaaS apps or public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and Google Cloud, the provider secures the data centres, hardware and core platform. You stay responsible for your data, your user accounts, how access is controlled, the devices that connect and how each service is configured. That split is called the shared responsibility model, and it is where most cloud security gaps appear. Our guide what is cloud security? explains it in plain English.
In practice, good cloud security means getting a handful of things right and keeping them right:
- Strong, phishing-resistant sign-in and sensible access policies for every account
- Email and collaboration protection that stops phishing and business email compromise
- Protected, monitored devices, with someone ready to respond out of hours
- Control over which cloud apps people use and where sensitive data goes
- Correctly configured cloud infrastructure and web applications
- Backups you can restore from, held separately from the service they protect
The organising idea behind all of this is zero trust: check every request on its merits rather than trusting a network location.

Use what you already pay for
Many organisations already own more security than they use. Microsoft 365 Business Premium, for example, includes Microsoft Defender for Business, Microsoft Defender for Office 365 Plan 1, Microsoft Entra ID P1 and Microsoft Intune, yet these are often left at default settings. Larger Microsoft customers may hold the Microsoft Defender Suite (formerly Microsoft 365 E5 Security) and not use half of it.
So we start by mapping your licences to the features they unlock, switching on and tuning what you have, and only then looking at gaps. Where a third-party layer adds real protection, for example API-based email protection, a dedicated MDR service or SaaS backup held outside Microsoft, we supply and set it up, and you get the reasoning, not just a product list.
Independent and vendor-aware
Forever Systems is an independent UK provider. We work across several security platforms, so our advice is not tied to one vendor's roadmap. On this site you will find:
- Microsoft security: Defender, Entra, Purview, Sentinel and Security Copilot, explained licence by licence
- Check Point cloud security: CloudGuard Network Security, CloudGuard WAF and Workforce AI Security, with Harmony covered on our Check Point Harmony site
- Specialist platforms for endpoint, MDR, email, DMARC, SASE, browser security, password management and backup, each compared factually on its hub page
- Cisco and Sophos in depth on our specialist sites: Cisco Secure, Cisco Duo, Cisco Umbrella and Sophos Intercept X
Newer additions to the platforms we work with include Timus Networks for SASE, Hornetsecurity (now part of Proofpoint) for Microsoft 365 email security and backup, EasyDMARC for domain authentication, Keepit, Redstor and Commvault for backup, Netwrix for Active Directory and data security, Actifile for data discovery, and Cynet, Guardz and Blackpoint Cyber for managed detection and response. Licensing detail for many vendors lives on Software Licensing UK, which also lists business security software by category. If you want security managed across your whole estate, not only the cloud, Forever Group's cyber security services cover networks, devices and people too.
Need help choosing?
We will recommend what fits your organisation and explain why, in plain English.
Start with an assessment
Every engagement starts with understanding what you have. Our cloud security assessment reviews identity, email, endpoints, web access, SaaS, cloud infrastructure and backup, then gives you a short, prioritised plan ranked by risk and effort. For Microsoft-centric organisations, the fixed-scope Microsoft 365 security assessment goes deeper into the tenant.
To prove that fixes work, autonomous penetration testing safely attacks your environment the way an adversary would and lets you re-test after remediation. The assessment also lines up with Cyber Essentials: under Requirements v3.3 and the Danzell question set, used for assessment accounts created from 27 April 2026, cloud services cannot be excluded from scope and a cloud service without MFA, where the provider offers it, is an automatic fail.

Who we work with
We work with UK businesses from small teams to multi-site and enterprise organisations, as well as schools, charities and public sector bodies. Common starting points include:
- A Microsoft 365 tenant that has grown without a security plan
- A VPN that needs replacing with ZTNA
- Phishing or a business email compromise that got through
- An insurer, customer or tender asking about MFA, backup, monitoring or Cyber Essentials
- New Azure or AWS workloads with nobody checking their configuration
- Staff using generative AI tools with no policy or controls
Whatever the trigger, the first step is the same: contact us with a short description and we will suggest where to start.

How Forever Systems helps with cloud security
We are an independent UK IT and cyber security provider. We supply and support a wide range of security platforms, so we recommend what fits your organisation rather than one vendor's answer to everything.
- Assess first: we review what you already own, especially your Microsoft 365 licences, before suggesting anything new
- Vendor-aware advice across secure access, email, identity, data protection, endpoint, MDR, cloud infrastructure, browser, AI and backup, including Cisco Secure, Check Point Harmony and Sophos
- Deployment and migration, from tenant hardening to replacing a VPN or an endpoint product
- Ongoing support: policy tuning, alert handling, renewals and regular reviews
- People and certification too: security awareness training and Cyber Essentials
We work with businesses, schools, charities and public sector organisations.
Frequently asked questions
What do cloud security services include?
Cloud security services are the advice, products and support that protect the cloud services an organisation uses: identities and sign-in, email and collaboration, devices, SaaS data, cloud infrastructure and backups. They cover the parts of the shared responsibility model that stay with you, not the provider.
Are you tied to one security vendor?
No. Forever Systems is independent and works across several platforms, including Microsoft security and Check Point. We start with what you already own and recommend new products where they add real protection, then supply, deploy and support them.
Do I need extra cloud security if I use Microsoft 365?
It can be a strong baseline if it is configured properly and you hold the right licences. Many tenants have features switched off or left at defaults. An assessment shows what you have, what is missing and whether a third-party layer adds value.
Do you work with small businesses and schools?
Yes. We work with small teams, multi-site organisations, schools, charities and public sector bodies. The approach scales: smaller organisations often benefit most from switching on what they already own and adding a managed detection and response service.
How much do cloud security services cost?
It depends on the number of users and devices, the products involved and how much ongoing support you want. Ask us for a quote and we will scope it with you.
Is cloud security different from cyber security?
Cloud security is part of cyber security. Cyber security covers every system an organisation relies on, including office networks and on-premises servers. Cloud security focuses on the services you use from cloud providers, such as Microsoft 365, other SaaS apps and Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, and on the duties the shared responsibility model leaves with you.
How does a cloud security assessment work?
We agree the scope, then review your identities, email, devices, SaaS apps, cloud infrastructure, data and backups using read-only access, plus short conversations with whoever runs IT. You get a walkthrough and a prioritised plan ranked by risk and effort, and you can fix the findings yourself or have us do it and re-check.
